I think sometimes people perceive Tahu to be less complex than Vakama or Jaller, and he's definitely the most brash of the bunch, but you know what those two could learn from him? the lack of self-blame. Vakama spends how many thousands of years feeling guilty? Jaller seems to be hardcore blaming himself for Matoro's death? dude, Tahu gets tricked into releasing Makuta himself as the god of the whole world, and he just goes "damn that sucks. time to unite everyone in an enormous world-wide revolution I guess." he rides the line between arrogance and efficiency like a mechanical bull. KEEP IT MOVING A LITTLE, BOYS
Tahu is 100% accountability, 0% guilt. Man accepts when he’s fucked up, learns from his mistakes, and moves the hell along (The AAR would love him)
Burnt down a tree and made Gali mad? Better not do that again.
Underestimated Jaller and got schooled? Time to change up the ol’ worldview and start respecting Matoran more.
Almost ripped time to shreds? Had to be done, no sense dwelling on it, but Vakama better take the Vahi back right away so that never happens again.
Tricked the other Toa into getting locked into the Codrex 100,000 years ago? Okay yeah, there was some guilt for this one, but mostly because there was no closure for it. One pep talk from Gali and he’s good to go.
I guess you could tie that in to Tahu embodying Fire the best out of our three main Red Ones. Fire doesn’t blame itself for what it burns, it just is. It moves forward and does exactly what it is supposed to do.
